What does it take to change consumer behavior? Frause worked hard through the spring and summer of 2007 developing and conducting focus groups in collaboration with a consultant firm to answer this question. Once the results of the focus groups were produced, Frause searched through to find the most important aspects to help the Environmental Protection Agency determine the path of The Great American Wood Stove Changeout. The recommendations provided by Frause will help the EPA structure the program to yield the greatest number of successful changeouts.
