When former Vice President Al Gore joined Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels and his Green Ribbon Commission on Climate Protection in March 2006 to announce recommendations to reduce Seattle’s contributions to global warming pollution, the City called on Frause’s editing and design skills for the three-part project.

That September, Mayor Nickels released the follow up Seattle Climate Action Plan, also designed by Frause. The $37 million plan is the most comprehensive set of investments and programs for fighting climate change in the city's history.
