Frause internship

All of us at Frause were so excited about starting a blog; we spent hours fighting over who would be responsible for the content. We drew straws, played rock paper scissors, even thumb wrestled for the honor. It turns out our interns have some strong thumbs (not to mention opinions). They also have the best opportunity to provide a "fly on the wall" look into the workings of Frause. Without further ado, we present Frause – through the eyes of our interns!

Megan’s first day!

August 2, 2012   Posted by Megan Norris at 12:58 PM

Hello! My name is Megan Norris and I am so excited to be here!

I am a student from University of Washington, studying communications and public relations. I have been craving a first-hand experience to understand the world of public relations where I can feed my need for positivity, creativity and human interactions. Finally able to put all these things together, I am proud to say that I am the new PR intern here at Frause. To be in an environment where everyone is working together while focusing on a certain sector or project is encouraging and aspiring. Everyone has their own job and responsibilities that come together through what I experienced this morning, the 9am office conference. With their cups of coffee, pens and  pads, everyone gathers around a large table overlooking the busy, Seattle streets to discuss new opportunities, successes and what is on the current agenda.I am excited that in my first couple of hours on the job, I am beginning to understand the work and process that takes place in order to deliver accurate and clear information to the media, clients and other stakeholders. Everyone in the office is friendly and helpful, and as an intern, that is something not to go unnoticed. I look forward to learning more, helping out and adding to this company’s philosophy of “providing a culture that allows for individual talents to flourish and for the collective group to think, share, laugh and work together with the freedom to do our best work” (Frause Employee Handbook). To me, that sounds awesome, and is something I am so happy to be a part of.
