Water Supply Forum
Public Relations / Design

In 2009, Frause started to work with the Water Supply Forum, a cooperative effort of representatives of public water systems and local governments in the central Puget Sound region of Washington state. The Forum addresses current and future water supply issues, including supply planning, environmental stewardship, and other water supply related issues currently facing the region. Frause was charged with creating a new website where local governments and city residents could seek out information regarding water supply forecasts and related issues.

Solution

Frause worked closely with the Forum to build and design a practical and user-friendly Website. In addition, Frause’s design team implemented various planning tools to allow Forum members and the general public to access links to resources and to address ways to approach water conservation in their municipalities and regions.

Outcomes/Results

The Website serves as a true forum, where water audiences can find and share information about water conservation efforts and strategies, and find information on assessing municipal water demand, expected impacts from climate change, and the role conservation can play in addressing water supply issues. The Website is user-friendly and functional, and has become an integral tool in addressing water conservation in the central Puget Sound region.
